Unhappy Im totally lost for choosing my tire...

Ok i just receive my new wheel and they are awesome but i still doesnt have order my tire.

I know that the subject has been beaten to death but i still can figure out what model to choose.Ive search on the board, the ls1.com board, i ve also look on the review of tirerack.com.And do a lot of search on google.

I need a good dry tire and good/very good on wet road that will not melt in one summer

Im searching for:275/35-18 street summer tire and here is a couple of model i was looking at and the comment i found on the site i ve listed above:

-Falken fk-451: supposed they dont hook very well
-Yokohama es100:good on compact car not on big rwd one
-NItto 555 extreme:Pretty good on dry but dont do well under rain
-Cooper zeon 2xs:Not a lot of info they recall over 300 000 of these tire and they are supposed to be very bad in rain
-Khumo 712: pure junk
-Hankook Ventus Sport K104: very weak sidewall
-Yokohama AVS dB S2:Perform well but awfull in cornering and all season
-Toyo proxes T1-R:suppose to be awesome...wear really fast
-Sumitomo HTR Z II: suposed to be scary on a f-body
-Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3:very good but out of my price range

So any info, experience would be really appreciated cause right now i dont know what could be the best choice

Thank you all for your help

Eric

I'd say GDSD3, Toyo T1-S, or 555.

I've got the hankooks on my bird. Haven't really done any crazy cornering but they seem to be great for everyday driving.

I like my BFG G Force KDWSs. Pretty good on dry, snow, and rain.

Ok well since its the good choice im busting the budget a little Ive search on your site Zack(tirediscount) and the closest size that i ve seen the eagle f1 GS-D3 was in the size 285/35-18...

Do you carry them in 275/35-18?

If yes just could you just send me the price please cause i would like to buy from a supporting member of camaroz28.com.

I got the falkens and they hook pretty well. If they do spin they stay pretty straingt and don't spin forever like my old tires.

Re: Im totally lost for choosing my tire...

Falken along with several other brands are narrower than the same sized tires of GY or BFG. 2-3" narrower at times.

Really where did you find the info at? Didn't think the brands actually varied that much in size.

Re: Im totally lost for choosing my tire...

Tread width, wear and traction ratings all varies between manufacturers.

The width info I got off LS1tech over a year ago. People actually measured the tread width between some tires and their GSD3 was at least 1" wider than several other brands and more than others. Falken was one of them.
