Chrome is heavier which is pretty important on a rotating object like wheels. Some people do opt to clearcoat a highly polished wheel to protect the finish/save from having to repolish the wheels often, but that can yellow or peel too.
Chrome bubbling/peeling and its slightly higher price can make decisions easier but most manufacturers offer a 1-3 year warranty on their chrome wheels.
Its all up to you but I currently have both and now Im back to chrome for my Camaro. Goodluck

I'd say some of it depends on where you live. Here in Illinois, driving on salted roads, chrome won't last though one winter, no matter how well you try to take care of em. I love the look of chrome, but I'll never own another set of chrome wheels.. its all polished for me from now on.

Re: Chrome VS Polished aluminum
I like polished wheels, but I must admit, their is a lot of maintenance on them. However, it gives me a sense of pride knowing that I make them shine that good after I polish them up. As someone said earlier, it is a matter of personal choice as both have their pros and cons.
