Is there anywhere to buy chrome 17" Firehawk replicas or even original GM wheels? It's kinda tricky getting a hold of them on misc. forums and ebay.

 

You can buy OEM Firehawk wheels (either in painted or chrome finish) directly from SLP. I've never heard of a replica of those rims, which are actually manufactured by American Racing. Be aware, though, that the chrome Firehawk rims have a long standing problem with the chrome finish on the barrel (or inside) of the rim. They quickly begin to show pitting and bubbling, which is clearly visible through the wide spokes of the wheel. When I bought my Firehawk, the original rims were quite deteriorated, which I had fixed by a local wheel repair place, which sanded the barrels smooth, and then painted the inside semi gloss black. A new set of Firehawk chrome rims (which I use for summer) began to show the same pitting and bubbling on the inside surface, practically as soon as I put them on the car. Unless you are dead set on buying a set of the Firehawk rims, I would look elsewhere. There are lots of much better looking designs, and much better quality too, out there.
