Can the Front and Rear Tire Diameters Vary by 1/2 Inch?

Right now, I run 245/40R18 (25.72") in front and 275/35R18 (25.58") in the rears. They're close in size. But I noticed that the 245s look funny on my 9" wide wheels....thinking of going to 255/35R18 (25.03") in front.

Will it be a problem is the rear wheels are 25.58" and fronts are 25.03"...will the ABS see an issue if it's reading the wrong speed from the front and rear wheels?

Better yet, could I fit the same 275s in front. My wheels are 18x9s with a 50mm offset. Any reason not to go wide in the front?

It won't affect the ABS. But dropping down to a tiny tire like that in the front might look a bit odd.
