C6 Z06 18x9.5 wheel on all 4 corners on 4th Gen

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a stock Corvette C6 Z06 18x9.5 will fit all 4 corners of my 02 Camaro Vert without any spacers but which tire size should I go with? I want to stay as close to the stock height of 25.7". I'm looking at the stock Z06 tire 275/35/18 but don't know if it will clear the stock suspension. SLP sells a set which are very close to the Z06 wheel. Anyone here have the SLP wheels?

Thanks,

A35TH-SS

I've seen several references that list the stock C6 Z06 wheels as 18x9.5" +50mm offset. If that's the case, should not be any problem running them on all 4 corners. Since the 275/35-18 tire has a diameter that is about 1/10th inch less than the stock 275/40-17 tires that were used on the WS6 and SS coupes, there should not be any concern about the tires interfering with the suspension.

I have found one reference on a Corvette website that lists the offset as 40mm, and that would move the tire another 0.4" toward the outside of the fender, possibly causing the outer edge of the front tire tread to rub on the plastic inner fender liner when the wheels are turned toward full lock. But most reference seem to indicate the offset is 50mm. If you are looking at "repro" wheels, ask the manufacturer what the offset is. They do not always match the factory specs.

SLP Wheels 18x9.5 and 18x11

I found the rims at SLP 18x9.5 front and 18x11 rear. They are described as "Tired of chrome or silver wheels? SLP has the answer with these OEM style quality wheels featuring a metallic, gunmetal finish and a machine spoke face. Treat your 1998-2002 F-Body with a new modern look at the fraction of the cost of traditional aftermarket wheels. Sold as a set of four with plain center caps."

Note: Optional logos can be purchased from authorized GM licensed distributors.

"OEM style" identifies them as an aftermarket wheel, not a factory or OEM wheel. In that case, you should ask SLP to confirm the offset.

ZR1 Wheels in 18x9.5 56mm offset

I called and the rear wheels are for Corvette not Camaro. They said the 18x9.5 will fit the camaro with 275/35/18 tire. Are these any different than the other aftermarket wheels I wonder?

But I am also looking at the New ZR1 Wheel in a Chrome finish 18x9.5 56mm offset. This should fit front and rear on the 02 SS.

Ordered Tires and Wheels

I went ahead and ordered new tires and wheels. The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 275/35/18 and the wheels are the 2009 ZR1 18x9.5 chrome with 56mm offset. The wheels are new reproduction and will be shipped around end of December. I will post pics when they are installed.

I just finished installing the ZR1 wheels on my 02 35th LE. It was night when they were installed but I will have daytime pics coming.

The wheels were made in China. I don't know how many companies are making these replica wheels or importing them. I purchased these from WestCoast Corvette. They are 18x9.5 56mm offset with 275/35/18 tires.

Here are the pics. Before and after.

Those are great looking wheels, hopefully they aren't too much of a PITA to clean.

I think those ZR1 wheels would look pretty damn good on a LS2 GTO.
