Which boyd's should i get?
Which boyd's should i get?
So i'm thinkin of gettin some boyd cottingtons after i saw the post about them by Blown350ZZ4. I looked at them a while ago but they're expensive, but i just thought about this today but discount tire sells Boyd Cottington smoothies for about $100 less per wheel then the boyd website. So i'm thinkin if i go to the local DiscountTire, they can probably get about the same discount per wheel.
I was lookin at these styles, if u know anyone with these on a fbody post pics, or just tell me ur opinion, if u like these or like a different wheel besides the one's i posted whether they are by boyd or not, then post it.

So i was gonna try to get some rims fast that way i could use my stock rims in the winter with the old tires that had about 6 months left on them....unfortunately i got two nails in different tires in less than a month and one cut the wheel open about an inch. So i'm gettin two new tires, some Pirelli PZeroNero's M&S in a couple days.
I was originally thinkin of gettin chrome Z06 motorsports with the rivet pattern thing.
Would those begin to chip or look bad around the rivets if i don't clean them really good like every week. A friend of mine said that i'd have to clean inside the rivets like every 100 miles or week or whatever to keep em nice. This kid is also a freak about cleaning his car, he's got a nice firehawk with the chromeallusion or ghost flames on em. He's only put on 1500 miles in the last year but cleans it all the time. So is he just a freak about it or should once a month to really really clean them be fine. They won't see winter either.

Re: Which boyd's should i get?
Discount Tire Direct will work you a pretty good price on a set of wheels - especially if you're getting tires at the same time. Don't let the advertised prices scare you away - email or call them...
Rivets will be a pain to keep clean. Probably more so on a polished wheel than on a chromed one. It's damn hard to properly polish in those tight spots... My .02...
Good luck! Boyd wheels rock!

Re: Which boyd's should i get?
I was thinkin #4 also, but i was lookin at one of the other two boyd c's threads that are active right now, and they said polished wheels are a b***h to keep clean, if i had the time to clean them all the time i would. Would waxing the rims make it a lot easier to keep clean? and would chrome be the same problem?
Re: Which boyd's should i get?
I was looking into the Heckle, that wheel looks sweet, and looks like it has a MASSIVE lip on it, which I love. Plus I'd like to see it on someone else's ride before i buy them for my ride lol
