Question Wheels...

Thinkin 17 x 8
Is there an advantage to going with 17 x 9.5 or 17 x 10?
Can anyone get deals on these wheels?
Does anyone know a place that sells the TT II's in a 4 wheel package?

-Torque Thrust II's (4 wheel package ???)
-Boyd Coddington Smoothie I (4 wheel package $925)
-Boyd Coddington Smoothie II (4 wheel package $925)
-Boyd Coddington Smoothie Timeless (4 wheel package $695)
-Boyd Coddington Smoothie Magneato(4 wheel package $925)

Advantage? GRIP! Why bother going to a 17x8" unless you just want "looks", JMO but if your going to drop serious cash on new wheels/tires, go big. If its a show car then ignore my opinion.

What the Dr. said. Not only do they look bad a$$, but wide tires will improve cornering and launch. A small small draw back is the added weight to rotating assembly, which one can only reason will decrease you rwhp by a few ponies. However that is counteracted by the increase in traction. Think high perf cars that come with 335/35/18s etc.

I'm partial to the Torq Thrust II's myself. But wouldn't mind a set of Z06 wheels either.

For a road race type rim, I'm partial to Bogart Road Race rims. I think the above are all good choices. I just feel there are other choices out there that are different. Of course it comes with a price as these are more expensive then the rims listed above.

If anyone wants to see what bogarts look like on an F-body, feel free to give me an email.

You can view the Road Race rims on my site at the very bottom of the page.
