Bought a new set of wheels.. 20's

Alright so I know these aren't going to appeal to everyone but this morning I just purchased a set of 20's for my Z.. Well ok, my dad bought them for me. I was looking at them on ebay then got up to get something and the next thing I know, he's over there confirming the bid. I really was undecided on these or a set of chrome Z06 wheels but I guess now I have 20's. Here's the link for pictures for those that want to look at them.

I also bought a set of Nitto 555 245/35/Zr20 tires.

What do you guys think? I'll be posting pictures just as soon as the car gets out of the bodyshop and it's actually nice enough around here to run these on the streets. Later

CrazyZ,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but those wheels will not fit properly.

The advertised bolt pattern on the wheels is 5-120MM, which will fit BMW SUV's and Land Rovers.

The bolt pattern on F-bodys as well as S-10s & Blazers is 5-120.65MM

These will not fit properly over the studs and will result in a wheel coming off.

Great... I bought these assuming 5-120MM was the same size as 5- 4.75". Guess my stupidity got the better of me here. I can't believe they advertise that as being the same size. Guess I'll be contacting them asap. Thanks for the heads up.

Straight from the ebay auction:
Rims : RVM Serpent - 20 x 8.5"
Offset : + 35
Bolt Pattern : 5 x 120 (4.75)
Will Fit All 5 Lug 1993-2001 Chevrolet Camaro's, Pontiac Firebird's, and Trans Am's.

Hmm.. You'd think they would be smarter than that.

Btw, has anyone ever machined the stud holes bigger to compensate for the difference between the two size? My girlfriend's dad owns his own machine shop. Guess I'll be talking to him soon if this seller doesn't make good on this. Thanks.

Bad idea, the lug seats are machined to have a specific contact area with the lugnut, if you make the hole in the center bigger, you'll have less contact between the lugnut and the seat.

or you could have a whole new set of holes drilled, thats how my wheels were sent to me that i ordered, 10 holes in the center, so it fits just about anything ive had em on a nissan maxima, and a camaro so thats a big range lol. i dont know if its good to do that after you get the wheel made, but thats how mine came so i dunno *shrug*

Re: Bought a new set of wheels.. 20's

they will fit, but might rub. i have 20x8.5's with 120 5x4.75. they fit fine but mine rubbed on my ground effects i have 255/35/zr20's and i think i have an 18 mm offset, so i couldnt use them on my 97 SS. I bought them for my 1991 rs convt and they fit perfect and i'm 100% satisfied with them, i got them from ebay for 850 shipped with tires.

Well luckily, the deal feel through. They was "misplaced" and I got refunded my money. Now I can buy a different set that I know will fit perfect. Just to get this straight though, I want 5 x 4.75" on a 35mm offset for a 95 Z28 Camaro right? Thanks
