Biggest size tire possible without rubbing

I have been a member for a few months, but this is my first post. I was thinking about putting some 15"s on my 98 camaro and was wondering what was the biggest size tire I could run in the back without rubbing. I also need to know wheel width and backspacing. Car has not been lowered any.

Scan through the FAQ "stickied" at the top of this forums topics page. It has a post on putting 315/35-17's on the rear, and another 28x11.5-15's on the rear, including wheel sizes and offset/backspace.

The FAQ Fred mentioned above should answer any of your questions.

For reference sake my 275/50/15 MT DR's needed the jounce spacers removed and some beating of the inner fenderwells. The prostars they are mounted on (15x10) required a bunch of brake caliper grinding.
