BFG g-force T/A drag radials... opinions and tire wear???
BFG g-force T/A drag radials... opinions and tire wear???
I've been reading on tirerack and others. the reviews are mixed, as with most tires. I'm currently running nitto Dr's and their on their last season. (hopefully they make it that long) I'm looking for a good replacement tire, and i was wondering if the g-force T/A drag radials last any longer than the nittos. if nothing else, I'm going to run a street tire on the back again, so i'm open to decent hooking street tires. thanx
Re: BFG g-force T/A drag radials... opinions and tire wear???
Last year BFG changed the name of their DRs to the G-force, where there used to be 2 names: comp TA DR and the G-force. There are still 2 different tread styles, but now under 1 name ( I think Tire Rack may also call the old style the Drag Radial 2) If you're talking about the 275 40 17s I can tell you that I have run them since 1996 with great success. They ride great and are not terrible in rain when they are new. I get 4000-5000 miles out of them before they become technically illegal for street use, but they still hook great.
The new tread style originally called the G-force I have not personally used, however a friend of mine in Florida has the 295 18s on his LPE 383 Corvette and claims to have gotten more mileage out of them than the old pattern still used on the 275 17s...
I like the BFGs for good hooking and good street manners...I hook in the 1.60-1.70s...I think that the Nittos last a little longer, but don't hook as well...
