AR Rebels.. Front wheels... How they sit..

Bayer's Disclaimer... THese are 17x9 w/ a 25mm offeset.

I'm not trying to be a wise ****, But I also Told Dwray that I'm not going to lie. If someone goes out and buys these wheels and they don't like they way they sit, DON'T BLAME ME!! I'll post some HONEST pictures of how these wheels sit in the front and YOU decide if you can live w/ it! They DO require some modding of the front fenderwell protector, and the batt box. (rubbing concerns) All in all about 30 min of work.

My father gave me a bit of advice...."Kid, If you really like the wheels, make the CAR work with them."... I really had my heart set on thes and I like the way they look.

Keep in mind, My front end is shifted over to the pass side about 3/4".. SO The driver's side will appear to stick out more. (Black ice about 3 years ago... slid into a snowbank back in CT)

These pics were not in my original post. I pulled these form a PM I sent to DWray. Some people might be ok w/ the way they sit, and some people might not like it.

I was willing to go as far as to bring them down to a machine shop and have them fab the wheels to sit in farther. Untill I find that magical stash of cash, I'll leave them the way they are. I like them. It might even better when I get the front end fixed.

Not to be a party pooper, but check you state's laws about tires/rims. Michigan and some other states prohibit the use of tires that extend beyond the fenders when straight. My friend had to pull his 17 inchers with 315's after being pulled over by the police.

most states are like that i think. typically it's instituted on trucks and 4x4s. thats why they make so many kinds of "fender flares" for jeeps and trucks...to keep it street legal.

that cop must have been hard up for a reason to write a ticket...jackass

Re: AR Rebels.. Front wheels... How they sit..

There are too many cars with tiny or extra large wheels that stick out in inches instead of millimeters for me to worry about it.

The tread is barely exposed. In fact, its more the shoulder that is out. I prefer it over the so far inside the fender well look.

You can see my shots in the other thread. Same backspace, same manufacturer (AR), 17x9 Razor wheels.

There are other pics also.

As requested. I got them @ Discount tire in El Paso. In their website they're not listed under 4th gen F-body's. I checked recently, and they weren't listed at all. And as far as state laws, you should see soem of the Low Riders around here. F-150's w/ wheels that stick out at least 6"... No kidding.
