Anyone running BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW's?

On their 4th gen?

I'm going to be replacing my tires, probably in the spring and I don't seem to have a whole lot of choice for tires in the area, the BFG's are one of them.

Just wondering if anyone was running them, or had run them and their opinions on them

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have been through 3 sets of 275/40-17 KDW's. One of the best pure street tires I have ever used. Good grip in both dry and wet conditions.

Had one set on my 94 Formula, and 2 sets on the 01 TA.

I used them in 245/50-16 before getting my ZR1's (which came with Dunlop SP8000 tires). I was happy with them.

Note that there are 2 styles of KDW available - I was using the older style.

Old style:

Newer style:

Re: Anyone running BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW's?

Thanks for the quick answers guys . . . if I stick to the stock size it looks like they only offer the 245/50ZR16 in the old tread style. I'm also contemplating buying new larger wheels, and if I do that then I might be looking at the new tread design . . . depends

again thanks

One more thing - how would you rate them compared to the Goodyear Eagle GS-C's (if you had them) that my Z28 came with from the factory (ordered the Z Rated Tire option)

I see you ar in Canada. Those tires are not good in snow. I Have run both the KD and old style KDW. I like them both.

Thanks but I'm not worried about snow - I park the car for the winter and drive my truck for winter and up until the salt's off the road in the spring

Right now I even find my Eagle GS-C's are pretty bad in the rain, I realise it's a high HP RWD car, but the rear tires break loose super easy in the wet

Running the new style on my car. I like they a whole lot. Good choice if you go with them.

Be careful now, KDW and KDWS are not the same tire. KDWS is an all-season, KDW is fair-weather-only.

I had KDWS's and they sucked.

KDW is also for wet. The KD is fair weather only...supposedly. I ran them on my daily driver for over a year and a half though. Until last week when one died due to road debris.

Now I'm trying the Falken RT-615.

The Kumho MX would be a great alternative though.

In BFG's nomenclature:

KD is for Dry.

KDW is for Dry and Wet.

KDWS is for Dry, Wet, and Snow.
