I have been surfing EBay for quite some time for either Z06 or ZR1 wheels for my car and have come across a company out of Sarasota, Florida.

Their prices seem to be better than anyone else out there, but I am a bit sceptical becasue of this. Has anyone bought any wheels from them and if so were you pleased with them?

Nope..... I tried for weeks via e-mail and phone to get ahold of them. The kicker is that I am just around the corner so to speak. Also check their feedback. The negative responses all say the same thing. The guy is an arrogant jerk. While I can't say that personally as the SOBs wouldn't return e-mails or phone calls..... I just wanted to stop by to pay and pick them up. I even called their direct sales line and an automated response said the message box was full and hung up on me. I say screw them. If this is the way they treat a paying customer before the sale, imagine how bad they must be if there is a problem.

 

I just bought a set of wheels from them, they answered the phone on the first call and seemed professional in every regard. Haven't showed up yet though. I'll post back when they arrive to give more input.

 

Yes they are awesome wheels. My buddy bought 17 x 9.5 chrome Zr1 wheels for his 95 z. They are great quality, he got them like 1.5-2 years ago and still shine like new. Get there lugnuts for the extra 60 bucks becuase they are also very nice.

 

I think you are confused. There are several dealers that sell these wheels. This particular one offers free lugnuts.

Funny thing is I just now got a response via e-mail. Keep in mind that I wanted to drive over to pay and pick up and here is what they said:

As much as I like their prices, considering how close they are to me, I'll be darned if I am going to have them shipped and pay 7% sales tax.

 

Ordered a set of polished Z06 wheels today, everything went fine for me. As far as his feedback goes, it's at 98%, which is pretty good when you consider how many people have bought something.

 

not heard of this company....but i just ordered a set of 18 Z06 AFS's of ebay on fri. christmas eve...and they were shipped out yesterday heading to my house.....they've answered every email within the next day and they shipped them as i said monday and i got the tracking numbers which are a plus the same day emailed to me, and TRUST me i've searched and searched to find the best price and quality to match and I feel I made the right decision with AFS....i've heard nothing negative about them yet accept in their feedback in the past 12 months there was one guy i think that said they didn't answer his email but was pleased with the wheels.....so i'd say take a look at them and talk to some members on here who have them as i did

 

I bought my ZO6 rims from them. Took a long time to receive but everything was ok. Took 6 weeks to get my rims!!

 

I would have bought from afs, but they do not ship to Canada.

 

Yea, can anyone else comment on this seller? I've read a couple other posts that say good things. One says that the O.E. are the real replica wheels and that the guy had to grind off the GM logo on the back. Another I read says that the wheels come with a 2 or so year warranty on the coating and a lifetime warranty on the structural integrity of the wheel, although I don't see any mention of a warranty on the ebay site. Can anyone else comment?

 

I ended up buying a set of these wheels and got them mounted last Friday. They were brand new. It took a week to receive them once I made my payment. The auctions list that it can take up to two weeks.

There was no evidence of anything being ground off the back. I doubt seriously that they are authentic GM wheels. One thing that I discovered when I received them was that the offset was not what was listed in the auction. They were listed as having a 56mm offset, when in fact they were 54mm. This information was printed on the box and stamped on the inside of the wheel. When I contacted the seller to ask abot this and to make sure that they would fit my car I didn't receive a reply. I also posted here and was assured that they would fit, so I went ahead and got them mounted. They did fit OK on my Z28. The tires I went with were 255/40/17 BFG KDW2's. I haven't had any problem with them rubbing anything. My car is currently at stock height. I'm installing new shocks and Eibach Pro Kit springs on Monday and we'll see then if everything is still OK. I suspect that it will be.

I didn't receive any information about any kind of warranty. The wheels were checked out before the tires were mounted and there were no structural problems noted. The company is called OE Wheel Distributors LLC and they are located in Sarasota, FL.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the wheels. They ended up being $494.60, including shipping and insurance. I watched the auction and didn't bid until about 2 minutes before it closed and was the only bidder.

It was a great deal, in my opinion.

I got a set of c5 chrome wheels from them and they came pretty fast . I live in pennsylvania And I believe they are in florida. Haven't got tires on them yet but I'm happy with the look and the quality of them.
