315 tires on 17x10 rims?

Finally found a set of rims that my wife likes for her car, but widest they come in are 17x10. Was hoping to get 17x11s so I could put some 315/35/17 tires on it.
Would 315 tires fit on these rims and would they look right?

Putting 275s on the front, and want the back to be noticably wider.

Re: 315 tires on 17x10 rims?

Depends on the tire manufacturer. Dunlop and Sumitomo accept rim widths as narrow as 10" for their 315/35-17's. Others recommend a 10.5" minimum, while still others (e.g. - BFG Drag Radials) recommend at least an 11" wide wheel.

Go to Tire Rack, enter the size, and look at the available tires. Click on "specs" and they will show you the recommended rim width.

Thanks, most of the tire specs for that size say rim width of 10-12", so 10 would be the bottom, hate to get 10's then.
The rim is a common pattern it appears, found the same rim in BBS, ASA, Simmons, and Kinesis, but can't seem to find a 17x11 size!
