Nitto Tires - Two Tumbs Up (wish I had a third thumb in this case)
Nitto Tires - Two Tumbs Up (wish I had a third thumb in this case)
Well, I went from 275/40/17s Eagle F1s in which I ran a best 12.39 at 110mph with a 1.83 60' (2800 Stall)
I Haven't taken the new tires to the track but can feel the difference big time. I have the 275 Nitto Drags. The Car put down 400Rwhp and 379RWTQ. I took the car out just to see how sticky the ties are. I had some friends behind me and decided I would blaze the tires up and smoke them out. Well, Full throttle and could bairly get the tires to break lose on a break torque. The back of the car came up and launched like a rocket. I am sure some of it was because it was on black top that had to be 95 degrees. But with my old F1s the car in that same location same setup put down 50' dark black lines off a brake Tq.
I tip My Hat To Nitto Tires. Can't wait to see what I can get at the track?
Bill

Probaly doesn't belong in this forum but I just finished buying my fronts so now I have the NT555r Drags in the back and the R2 Road Races in the front. They grip like CRAZY. I have my 35mm hollow front sway on order so I can't wait to get on it after I put that baby in.

I didnt like them that much.. they were ok.. but I wouldnt and didnt use them as my dailies.
I could break them loose but I do have a stick and its easier in a stick. I never messed with them much on the street. They are drag radials and that to me, means meant to be used at the track and thats where I use them. I prefer the BFG DRs at the track tho. tad bit more sticky.
for street tires I prefer the Yokohama AVS ES100's.

Another nod for Nitto Drags. I have almost 200 passes on them and drive them on the street, and they have lasted pretty well. You can use them right down to the nylon chords, which is when they get the stickiest. Enjoy!!

the ES100's are a terrible tire for our cars, hard as hell and i spin them like crazy, and they dont even leave nice marks when i do
