20x10 35 offset?
20x10 35 offset?
ok i know i would need to do something, but is it possible to run a 20x10 with a 35 offset, and if so, how could i adjust it to make the wheel fit right? spacers? ect..... thanks
Did you look at the 2nd page of the FAQ? They will be very close to the outside edge of the fender, probably outside of it. There is nothing you can do to move it inwards, except have the suspension (front) or rear axle (rear) narrowed.
see i did look at it, but honestly for some reason nothing there is sinking in.... so if 35 is the max offset i can get, with these wheels, do i need to go for larger # to get them to sit in, or say if i had 20 for an offset, that would be past the lip then right??
Not sure how to explain it any more clearly than I tried in the FAQ.... larger offset moves the wheel deeper in the fender well, smaller offset moves it toward the outside. The problems you may have with each of these conditions are listed in the FAQ.
The FAQ indicates that for a 10" wide wheel, a 38mm offset puts the edge of the tire outside the front fender. When this happens, there is nothing you can do to correct it.... adding a spacer will only make it stick out more.
My calculations are based on the +25mm offset 9" wheels shown in this thread:

He had to tie back the inner fender liners because the tires rubbed on them. Since your wheels will be 1" wider than his, you need 13mm more offset to keep the outside edge of the wheel/tire exactly where his are. 25 + 13 = 38mm, and that's where the numbers in the FAQ came from.
Again, its is explained in the FAQ - "appearance" is up to you. If you like the wheels out near the edge of the fenders (or even outside the fenders), that's up to you. That is personal taste. Just keep in mind you may have excessive rubbing, depending on the exact choice of tires, and having the tread to far out will cause stones and gravel to be tossed up against the lower side of the car, leaving it susceptible to chips and dulling.
