18x10.5 fit without rubbing?

Will 18" x 10.5" rims fit in the rear of a TA without rubbing? If not, can they fit without too much modification? Can you run a 275 series tire on a 10.5" rim? Thanks for any input.

i think 275 on a 10.5 inch rim is a little small...i'd go with a 295

as for the rubbing...i wouldn't know for sure...but i'd say yes. but im pretty sure it could be fixed with the BFH mod

Whether or not it "rubs" will depend on the offset of the wheel, and the width of the tire you put on it. What is the offset (or backspace) of the 18x10.5" wheel you are looking at?

A 275/35-18 will fit on a wheel 9.0-11.0" wide, but will be slightly smaller in diameter than the stock tire. A 285/35-18 would be a better match on the diameter. A 295/35-18 will be slightly larger in diameter.

But without knowing the offset of his 18x10.5" wheels, you still can not tell if his will rub.

Some of the Z06 wheels have an excessive offset, and an 8.0" backspace, and some people end up having to use spacers to get them off the inside fender liners. Similarly, if his 18x10.5" wheels only have a 25mm offset, they are going to be sticking an inch or so outside the fender.

You need the complete specs on the wheels to know if they will rub.
