17x9.5 tires

i put 275/40/17 on them i wanted to know if there was any other tire smaller i can put on it. The tire looks huge around the rim. I have 18x10.5 out back and the tire looks bigger in the front. it makes the rim look like its a 15 lol

I assume you're talking about the sidewall height. To match the outside diameters front and rear, the sidewalls on the 17's in front have to be 1/2" taller than the 18's in the back. What size tires are you running on the 18x10.5's?

Re: 17x9.5 tires

Your front tire is already a smaller diameter (25.66") than your rear tire (26.13"). You don't want to go a full 1" smaller in the front. As it is now, the front sidewall is 4.33" and the rear sidewall is 4.06".... hard to believe that 1/4" looks that bad.

A 255/40-17 would make the front sidewall (4.01") smaller than your rear sidewall, and the front of the car will sit 1/2" closer to the ground, and the gap between the top of the tire and the fender opening will get even larger than it is now.
