Hey people, i need some help here, im looking to purchase some chrome 17x9.5 ss wheels and i was wondering if i would have any clearance issues with these, front or rear?, please reply directly to snakekiller97 @yahoo.com

Real SS wheels are 17x9.0" with a 50mm offset. They will not cause any interference problems on a 4th Gen F-Body, since they were factory equipment on 4th Gen F-Bodys. If you are going up to a 9.5" wide wheel, you will not have any problems, as long as the offset is in the range of 45-56mm.

actually according to the specifications on my 96 SS the wheels are in fact 17x 9.5 not 9.0 just an fyi for you.

 

what specifications? the back of the wheel itself?

 

no they are 17x9.0 if u measuere from lip to lip it may be about 9.5incehs but teh real measurement is measure from the inside lip to lip , which is 9.0

 

well im just going by what my owners manual says.... and it does say 17x9.5 so idk

maybe the 96 were diff but i do not know
