17inch front 18 Rear YA or NA? Toms wheels OE Concept? Help
I dont see to many people doing this why is that? Many of the wheels I have looked at come in 17 front and 18 inch rear.. Will these bolt direct or would I need spacers? Or Shoul I just go all 17 or 18ich. I will be doing the C5 brakes so I need room... I really like the new Z06 wheel but cant seem to find a direct fit...O.E. C6 Z06 Chrome Combo Set 17x9.5 & 18x10.5

The problem with staggering the wheel sizes (17" front/18" rear) on a 4th Gen is the fact that the setup looks best if the sidewall on the rear wheels is at least as wide as the sidewall on the front wheels. That's the way the Corvette tires are set up... smaller diameter tire in the front, larger diameter in the back. If you do that with the 4th Gen, it looks OK. If you try and keep the front and rear tire diameter the same, it can look a bit odd with the wide sidewall in the front and the narrower sidewall in the back. You have to decide which approach you like or don't like.
As far as the wheel sizes you mentioned, those are the stock C5 Z06 wheel sizes, not the C6. The front will fit fine. The backs will have the inside edge of the tire very close to the inner fender liner, and the inside lip of the rim will probably catch the edge of the jounce bumper bracket if you jack the car up. Look at the suggested mod's for the 17x11 ZR1/GS offset wheel in the FAQ stickied at the top of the Wheels and Tires forum topic listing for the details, since the 58mm Z06 wheel will have a backspace very similar to that wheel.

My other option for good price would be factory reproductions 18x8.5 or 9.5 56mm and 18x10.5 58mm which the sales person said would fit no problem. From the above sticky if I'm reading correct 58mm would hit bottom out bumper and or side of fender. This I dont want. Would like to buy 18s that need ZERO mods. What would the best setup be? Never thought buying wheel would be so complicated.........
Thanks for the help Fred
