im thinkin about gettin 17x11's or 18x11 wheels. if i got those and slapped on some 295's, will my speedo read correctly???

and does anyone recommend any 17 or 18x11 wheels?? i have a 97 formula.

 

There is no 295 width available in a 17" tire. You would use a 315/35-17. A lot of us are running those on 17x11 wheels. It is exactly the same diameter as the stock tire and will not affect the speedo.

There are 295/35-18's available, and they will be about 1/2" larger than stock, and cause your speedo to read about 1 MPH low at 60 MPH. An alternative would be a 315/30-18 which is almost exactly the same diameter as stock.

 

would 315's stick out too far???? i could always get zr-1 wheels, those are 17x11 if im not mistaken, and get some 315's, would that be good?

How are you getting a 295/35/18 onthe back of a Z. I'm trying to do this now and they are rubbing. Even with a spacer I can only get a 1/4" space and thats with 10.5" rims.

 

what is the maximum 17 or 18" wheel and tire size that i won't have any rubbing with????? im just thinkin about 275's on either 17's or 18's, cause i don't wanna have to deal with spacers etc..

im lookin at some 18x9.5's, would i lose speedo accuracy???? what max tire size can i put on these w/o it rubbing?

 

I have 18's with 295/35 and have no rubbing. I think some cars are worse then others. There also 10.5
