WTF is wrong with GM?
I just got back from driving for over an hour to Gunn GMC to get some warranty work done, where I was told that "Service bullitens aren't covered under extended warranties".
WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!
GM puts out a notice saying that there is something wrong with their product, but then they don't remedy it? I mean I paid about $1500 for the extended warranty so this wouldnt happen.
Man I'm angry.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I undestand TSB's is that they are nothing but notices to shops that such problems have been reported by customers and if one comes to your shop, this is how you should fix it. Right?
They have nothing to do with recalls and warranties.
If your extended warranty doesn't specifically say it covers the issue you took it to the shop for, then it's not going to cover it.

The extended warranty actually lists whats not covered, I read over every word of that and didn't see anything about the problem I'm having.
And from what you're saying about the TSB's, it makes even less sense for then not to cover a common problem.
ford: The emergency brake retaining clips wear out fast causing the spring to start digging into the rotor, and I had the e-brake shoes replaced about a year ago at the dealer. Ya think they might've fixed that at the time...

TSB are for GM techs to use and help them with problems that are common in vehicles so you use less time to diag a problem..the new fix for the e-brake wasnt out a year ago the fix just came out about 4 months ago, it actually only helps it for alittle longer is all it is a crappy design and GM knows it.what extended warranty do you have.? call them but dont say anything about bulletins they wont buy it sometimes b/c of that
