FINALLY!!!

Just like the subject says, registration is now open for the 8th Annual
National F-body Motorsports Event (NFME) at Indianapolis Raceway Park from May
8th to May 10th!!! Its taken a lot of hard work from the organizers to get to
this point but its done :-)!

Below is the price list, but I'd like to reiterate one thing about the
finances of this event: Pound for pound, this event is still one of the best
values around for the simple reason that EVERY SINGLE PENNY that you pay goes
directly back into making this event happen. That's the way its been since the
begining and that's the way it will always be...

Wow!

Only after a few days we have 83 drivers and 147 attendees.

Texas alone has 7 drivers and 11 attendees. This is one good time!!!!

We are now 4 days into Event Registration and many folks are excited about
the event. Many of you probably are wondering where we are staying this
year.

Well, wait no longer...the hotel contact information is

When you call them, tell them you are with the "National F-body Motorsports
Event Group". They have us in the computer and will add you to our block of
rooms.

The hotel is holding 40 Single Occupancy rooms for us and 35 Double
Occupancy rooms.

The rate is 77/night plus 11% Tax.

The cutoff date is 4/7/2003. If you are not registered for your room by
then, you will be vying for a room from the general public.

SO, go ahead and call up and reserve your room today! They are looking
forward to seeing us!

From the hotel to the track is about 8 miles and takes probably 15 minutes
or so depending on traffic. It's 5 minutes to the Banquet and about 10
minutes to the parts stores on Lafayette Road.

There is a Courtyard by Marriott next door that shares a parking lot if
this hotel is overbooked, but I did not see any lower priced hotels close
by. I am checking into this though.

DFW Caravan will be leaving Dallas May 6th at 9:00am. We will start from 121 and 75 in McKinney. Our route will be 75 to McAlester, then take 69 to Muskogee, bypassing Tulsa, and hit 44 near Vinita, OK. Then take 44 to Springfieid, MO, and have that as our stopping point for the night. Then take 44 to 70 all the way into Indy, for the second leg. The overall trip is 925 miles which will take approximately 15 hours.

The driving will consist of a two day drive up (May 6th & 7th) and a one day drive back (May 11th).

Woohoo! Dan Baber just put us into triple digits! We just hit 100 folks registered! That's got to be some kind of record this early. Keep 'em coming guys & gals. There are almost _400_ folks on the list (wow! when did that happen?), so I know there are some that are procrastinating when it comes to registering. Don't wait too long or there won't be any room for you at the
event.
