This person has an outstanding bill for $390.29 and has made every excuse in the book since March 12th from "my father-in-law died, I'll get back to you on Monday" (how cool is that to lie about your own family?) to "my credit card got stolen so I'll have to wait until I get a new one" to "I don't have my new card in my wallet, I'll call you back later in the day" to finally "I can't pay the full amount, you'll need to work something out with me and I'll need to split it up into two different credit cards ... oh and I'll call you back on it later in the day". :eyes: It's always I'll call you back later in the day.

I suggest any vendors or manufacturers stay away from selling anything to this guy. It seems that he may be charging customers sales tax in the state of Texas when he has not been paying sales tax to the DOR ...

"Thank you for the information. I found that Mr. Alford has applied for a Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit (32022950607). The account is delinquent, and we have not issued a permit.

I am asking our Enforcement staff to contact Mr. Alford about his state and local sales tax responsibilities.

Again, I appreciate your efforts in this matter."

So if you have ever had any work done by Mr. Alford and are dissatisfied and he will not fix his mistakes or he has charged you sales tax, please contact Jeff Wiginton @ (512) 463-4506 or (877) 662-8375. They would like to see any receipts that you may have relating to auto service or products sold by Mr. Alford.

I was contacted by one of the enforcement officers via phone afterwards who really wanted to get all the information about Mr. Alford and planned to make a physical visit which was probably Friday or Monday of last week.

I hope it was worth $390 and I'll be pursuing this with the local authorities in his town next also.

This dates back to 2006. Just an update.

He has also tried to ask other sponsors here on the board for free parts, one company almost gave him a FREE HOOD before seeing this back in 2008
