Just thought I'd drop a line to fellow enthusiasts. I recently purchased a 1995 Formula A4 Firebird. Its silver, after about 500 miles the transmission died on me. So I am working on building that up right now.

I am in San Antonio does anyone know a good shop that can rebuild transmissions? I've got a couple quotes from other shops, but I wanted to see if there was a good one.

whats up man...you gotta join up with the SA fbodies..
Ahartz..I think I've heard about you.. One of the best LS1 techs in the world? Would you mind taking a look at my tranny? I had it rebuilt a year ago, but I am really doubting the shop that did it.

I highly recommend Ahart to work on any LT1 or LS1. I think he has the LT1 LS1 go fast touch.

Yeah, I'm just waiting to hear back from him. I'm more than interested. I really want to get this car rolling, I have to drive a 1994 Pontiac Transport Mini-Van 3800 V6 until this thing gets going.

This car is bad ***

I have fixed so far

Dash lights
Interior lights
Cruise control
Radio
Changed the brakes, heh I didn't realize I would need an allen wrench fo the job so it took me a while to get them put on.

I did the free fix for the headlights, and it started making the noise agian a week later

The front bumper is messed up, so if anyone has a spare one or know how to get a hold of one for dirt cheap let me know.

I need a couple other things for the car. There is a place called "Performance Used Cars" or something to that extent its a Firebird. Camaro, Corvette used parts store. Are there any other junk yards around town for f-bodys? That performanced use cars place has absolutely no parts.

I called asking for headlight motors, rear antenna motors, front bumper from any year 4thgen firebird. They didn't have any but offered me a beat up hood?

Are you talking about high performance salvage?

www.hpsalvage.com

They (he) is pricey, but usually has a couple f-bodies being parted at any given time.

... oh, and I third...er...10th..uh...something...the recommendation of Ryan Ahart (but not Dustin's (81z28kid) recommendation - that's just icky)
