street racing fatality in BCS...
They have run it in the eagle over the weekend and on KBTX..
Honda that crossed the center stripe and hit a tree in the 3700 block of finfeather in College station. Near FNB road I think.
They pulled the plug on the guy over the weekend.
Lets be carefull out there....

i can't find any info online
the eagle print said something about a white honda.. I get the impression it had been worked on..
But no indication of who/what else was involved.
I think they said he was 20-22 years old..just a kid...

Like Brook said...Guys...lets be safe and smart about it. There is no need for the craziness. Speaking as one of the "OLD SCHOOL" guys...there is no need to be wreckless. Not saying that is what caused this...just saying please be careful.

****, hell froze over. I agree with brook
A cage unless very carefully installed is generally more dangerous on the street than not having one. Even more so if installed per NHRA rules(the thing has to be within like 6" of your head).
Cages ARE safer if you are wearing a 5 point(properly tightened) and a helmet.
my cage is installed fair back, its not quite NHRA legal. but it will keep my melon from hitting it!

He wasn't racing The media interviewed some guys out there that said they HAD been racing.
He was just passing that truck heading back to the group of guys when apparently he got some torquesteer.
Not a street racing death
I don't want people to believe that since there haven't been any bad racing wrecks since I've been going to car club for the past 3 years.
Motorcycle wheelie wrecks? yeah. but not racing.
