Steers And Queers!!!!
Haha I knew that would get some attention. I'm wanting to move south, and Texas is #2 on my list of places to check out. I want to be near water though, I love the beach. How is the job market down there? Anything I need to know before heading south? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

North Texas isn't too bad. It doesn't get as humid as South Texas does, but it still gets plenty warm. Pretty much the thing to remember about Texas is that we have 2 seasons, summer and summer. Yes, it gets chilly in the winter, but not for very long and nowhere near as cold as the north and northeast. Although North Texas is quite a drive from the beach, we do have some of the best lakes in the country (ask any Bassmaster). Lake Ray Hubbard, Lake Lewisville, Lake Lavon, all quite large and pretty clean water (well, Ray Hubbard is clean enough at least).

The job market in Houston is good. Should have no problem finding work. The cost of living in Texas in far better than the east or west coast, but as stated the Gulf coast sucks in this area.
