Red face So my clutch went out last week...

Got it out today and come to find out it's the original!! Just FYI my car has 147,xxx miles!!! I was impressed to say the least. When I bought the car I was told it was a highway car for most of it's life, now I believe it.

Any thoughts about me getting a SPEC Stage I or II for this thing?? I'm not planning on anymore mods other than MAYBE headers so I'm not in need of some crazy clutch. Also I'm in a money situation; I'm a broke college kid, go figure.

EDIT: Here's some pics from the removal so far:

I would go with the stage 2 for your use... its more daily driver friendly.

I've heard good things about the RAM - I think that is the direction I'm going to go when I replace mine.

dude...I ran an LT4 disc and PP on my old Formy with the heads and cam. It held fine w/ all the hell I put that car through...hehe, held better than the Centerforce I cracked in half, lol...it engaged nice and smooth.

anyhoo...I picked it up from one of the discount GM dealers for around $300.

Depending on what you change (flywheel or not) and what brand you get it can be anywhere from $300 - $1000+.

Jason - Do you have any clue which dealership you got that from?? That sounds like exactly what I'd be interested in. I already ordered the SLP pressure plate from LG for the same price that SLP offers it. I just need the disc now. Although for the right price I'd cancel the order!

Thanks,
Kyle
