Finding a $3,000 3rd gen in S.A. is like Bush finding bin laden.
Especially one of the few that are actually in good shape.
There's this BEAUTIFUL IROC-Z sitting in this apt. complex(for a while now) so I assume the motor is shot. I thought about leaving a note on the windshield asking to buy it, if you want me to, I can drop by and leave a note there. This IROC isn't like all the other 3rd gens that have been beat up around S.A.

See you guys are lucky back when I was in the third gen scene you couldn't buy much of a third gen for 3K, no TPI car atleast in decent shape. But In any case now a days you can get a decent higher mile TPI car, look for a LB9 Tuned Port 5 speed or a L98 Tuned Port TH700R4. The L98, is a 350, eith digit of the vin should be an 8. All L98s are autos, RPO code B2L, the LB9 is the 305, but with the 5 speed they are fun to drive. Stay away from RS unless its uper clean, not much an be done with the L03 305 TBI.

Fortunately, I already have one in my collection!
BTW, for $3k you are gonna get a beater if you want the 350 TPI. If you are lucky, you'll land a 305 that's "decent" for that price.
I bought my '91 in Fla for $3200. If I had bought the same car in TX it would have been closer to $5k.
Good luck with your search. Let me know if you have any questions.
