Well as I was leaving Hooters and headed out to Ryan's I was stuck at a light in the left hand lane on Lockhill-Selma and Blanco. Some woman decides she doesn't want to wait for the people turning left and decides to get into the right lane. Well she wasn't paying attention and ends up rear ending my car. The right side of my bumper now has cracking paint, a dent, and it is a little out of alignment with the quarter panel. I swear my car is cursed! Anyway to my surprise when the woman got out of her car to check and see if I was okay I looked out my window and my jaw dropped. This lady was gorgeous! It's been a good while since I've seen a woman that amazing. Anyway, my car is going into the shop on Monday and will probably be there 2-3 weeks. So I'm back to square one again. D'OH!!!!

I just had a big scare, but not of the accident kind. Last Saturday (on my birthday of all days), I had just finished purchasing Mark's Torq Thrust rims and his Nittos. Well I had to try them out, and I launched it in a safe area and well let's just say, not a good idea. One of the headers came loose because I could hear a very loud ticking noise once I let off. So, as soon as I got home I popped the hood and it was the driver side header because that was where the ticking noise was coming from. I tried to tighten whatever bolts I could, but it didn't help. Came to find out Saturday after I took it to a mechanic, that the header gasket was gone and a header bolt was broke and half of the bolt was still in the head! DAMN! LUCKILY, luck was on my side and the bolt was not too far in and he got the bolt out with a drill. I should have my car back by Monday. What a scare though because I might have had to pay to a machine shop to get that bolt out on top of getting the head off. What a relief!

 

Dude, that sucks, sorry to hear that but at least it will be back soon. This car has had so many accidents on the passenger's side it's not funny. At least it's cosmetic, but it will still be awhile before it gets back. I need to put it in a garage and leave it locked up there forever LOL.

 

Thanks for giving me a ride today. That thing is awsome Hopefully it wont be in the shop for long. And you can store it in my garage if you want too. Just leave me the keys Hehe.

I took 1604 home from hooters because that san pedro, blanco locke hill traffic was killer and I didnt want to get smooshed on the bike.

 

It was a bad week for good looking ladies with cars, I guess. A REAL good looking lady (girl?) ran through my neighbors garage door when her "brakes quit working". Tore off the garage door, messed up her car pretty bad and broke a lot of stuff in the garage. She was alright, just shaken up. To make things worse, her car got hit by a school bus 2 days earlier. She is 17 years old. If I was 20 years younger... Oh, and not married.

 

Hey Ben sorry to hear about what happened. I was at Ryans today and he told me you planned to show up before you got hit by that lady. Hope her insurance will cover your car at least.

As far as 2-3 weeks, why so long? To my understanding its just the rear bumper that needs to be worked on or replaced right?

Hope its not too bad. Good luck on what happens next. Hope my buddy didnt bother you by calling you for directions at the wrong time.

The body shop I goto is usually pretty busy and that's about average time for them. Who knows it might be out quicker but I've learned my lesson with things like that. I was expecting someone to call so don't worry about it, I'm just glad you both were able to go. I hope the cars turned out awesome too. And Dom, yes I have her number, I think she was more upset than I was since she was visibly shaking. Oh well, crap happens...

 

Sorry to hear the 'bird is outta commission for a little while...just be glad it wasn't any worse. I think it's your car saying that it only wants to be run at the track
