I need some recomendations on a good transmission shop in or near fort worth. I need a rebuild, but I also don't have the money to pay much more than 1000.

Open the phone book, look under transmission and you will find 100 places, I know because I had to do this last January for my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

After spending over an hour on the phone I decided to go with Grapvine Automatic, very courtious, professional, knowlegable, honest, and one of the best prices I found.

It cost me $1500 for the Jeep and I can say it was done right (I crawled undeneath after it was done to look at their work) everyting was back in place, no leaks and it works perfectly.

Not sure if they can do your car under $1000 but its worth calling them and seeing what they have to say.

Several other places told me "I will remove it and tear it down for free, give you and estimate, If you dont like my price you can tow your car out of here and I will put your disassembled trans in a box for you" I wasnt impressed with that answer. Grapevine Automatic will talk with you on your problem.

 

Go 2 longhorn transmission of of lancaster or i thing it turns into division behind strip club CHICAS LOCAS talk 2 Jeff(OWNER) he built mine if u pull it down and install it urself itink he will charge $600 he did a great job on mine he charged me $1,300 but he rebuilt it put a new vavle body and huge trans cooler on it 4 me he also pulled it and installed it. Look him up in the yellow pages!!!!!!!!!!

 

I have a guy that will rebuild yours for $500 you just have to do the labor your self and take it out and put back in
