Cool

Yeah, kinda funny... I was even hoping it wouldn't rain tonight anymore so that I could mow the lawn so that I wouldn't have to do it on the 4th, but... Heck, it's pouring here again...

But I'm not complaining, though. This is much better than 90+ days in 99+ degrees and no rain.

I'm kinda diggin' the rain. I've got a buddy out in leon springs whose yard got flooded and took his boat through 2 fences and into his neighbor's yard. I had to take my Z71 out there to tow it back across the fences and into his yard. I know it doesn't sound like fun but mixed with the right amount of beer it was really great.

Plus: I've been on TV twice as the jackass in the background of a live shot with a goofy smile on his face. That was cool too.

In San Antonio, it sucks. Just today is it starting to get better. The gov. just declared 29 counties diaster areas, which means that the people who lost their homes can at least get federal aid. we got pounded pretty hard. The only good part about all of this is that the stage 1 water restrictions will be lifted. THe acquifer went from below 650 to over 664 in 1 day All of the rivers are still 14 ft above flood stage.

<sigh> Day 4 of captivity. Still cant get out of the hood and be certain of return capability. SO much cleanup to do... every time I start to fix the damage, it starts raining again. I sure hope whoever wished for this rain doesnt wish for too much sun or we'll be going into a 10 yr drought.
<this is starting to really suck>

Lets all hope that no more unfortunate souls go homeless tonight, and noone else dies. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost so much over the last 3 days.

We'll I'm thinking maybe the weather man was right. I just spent the last 5 hours out side working on my friends 5.0 stang with clear a sky above us the entire time. It was actually a really nice night to be working on a car. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this storm system is over with.

Well, obviously the rain hasn't stopped as of today. You guys in the Killeen and DFW area should be getting hit pretty hard again. Here in S.A. we got hit pretty hard at Sunrise, so be prepared. It really sucks 'cause I wanted to take off my heads this weekend and it was raining. So, they said we're supposed to clear up on the 4th, it rains, damnit. This rain is getting old REAL FAST, we don't even have time to recouperate before another T-storm rolls in.
And watch, we'll get all of this rain now, and it won't rain one more day out the year until like December.
