While I have my tranny out I am going to upgrade to a SS4000E for better motor N/A times.
This converter is still in new condition with only 13k miles it has NEVER been sprayed on, it has been to the track twice, where no burnout was done, I just lined up and went. It has been on dyno 7 times.
No chatter or anything abnormal, I do get the normal buck if converter is locked and I go below 1800rpm. this is due to my cam though. I used to have this problem alot with stock tranny settings but not with Robinson tune
My builder said when converter was pulled everything looked good in the fluid, only thing noticeable in fluid was normal clutch wear from my trans. No metal or anything in the fluid.
I have talked to Yank about this and you can send in the converter for $150 and they would do a complete rebuild and balance, if anything needs to be replaced they will contact you with an estimate. To be honest I wouldn't do it but if this doesn't sell after a few months I'm gonna send it in when I have the extra cash and then re-sell it at a higher price once I recieve it back.
