my 00' SS wont start no matter what i try... HELP!!!

i bought this car just over a week ago and it wont turn over now. i can hear the fuel pump when i turn the key and the battery is good, i tested it so is the starter. it just cranks and cranks like its going to start but it wont. the car has only 30k on it but its past the in service date so no warranty sigh i dont know what else to check or do, it did it once yesterday but i gave it like 2 min and it fired right up, then last night it did it, and wouldnt crank at all so i pushed it and popped the clutch and it fired right up, now today i had to go somewhere and it wouldnt even turn over when i pushed it and popped the clutch, i tried for half a block to do it sigh im out of ideas and dont know what else to try, anyone have any advice?

Unhappy no start

Try checking your fuel pressure and fuses to fuel and pcm. pull a plug wire and see if you have fire.Maybe check the fuel filter too.Check the ground wires at engine,See if coils and every thing is plugged in correctly.Hope she runs,Jake.

Do you have power in the car as well? Could be the alternator. Also it could be a clogged fuel filter, who knows how long the car was sitting on the lot.

i checked the fuses, and the fuel system is good, i had it checked. i know its something electrical of some kind as it was intermittant before and now it wont even fire up sigh. does anyone have the hookup at a dealership that could check this out for me? i just spend 300 on brakes and a relay for the electric fans that went out and i dont have anymore money to spend on this car as it all went to the downpayment

Umm, no clue where Cibalo is, but if it's near San Antonio, you could check out Gunn Pontiac, I believe that's where Ryan Ahart works and he might be able to help you out. That's the only "dealership hookup" I know of. But yeah it definitely sounds ignition related. Make sure your coil packs are plugged in

Is it a standard? If so it might be the relay fuse having to do with the clutch. I know that sounds a little off, but I was having the same problem with my 96 v6, I had it towed to firestone, and they said it was some type of relay fuse

Does it make a cranking sound like the starter ingageing or is it dead silent? What dash lights are on we trying to start it? If it is dead silent and the security light flashes then shut it off, clean your key, and then after 10 minutes try starting it again. If it does the same thing try a different key. If its not working then I dont know what to say.

How about the VATS? Sometimes the chips in the key causes problems.

That is what I am talking about. Also known as Pass Key II. It disables the starter if it doesnt recognise the key.
