Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Thats funny, because I dont remember ever saying that the engine going in that car is going to be using a stock block in any shape, size, or form. Imagine that why dont you.

By the way, the LS1 cars have more safety features too. If you(LT1 owners) get in a front end collision, where does your engine go? It goes right into the firewall and worse, your lap. Where does an LS1 go? UNDER the car, more importantly not in your lap. THe LS1 utilizes break away engine mounts and is designed to go under the car in a collision. The LT1 is pushed right into the firewall. Not to mention that insurance companies recognise the new cars as safer to drive. I have had both and the new one is cheaper on insurance and faster too.

I am 23 and my insurance for a LOADED t-top 2002 SS is only $108 per month for FULL coverage.

I am betting that the only way you have a less per month payment is that your car is a second car and/or only on liability insurance.

BY THE WAY, HM Murdock has a '95 Z28 hardtop that is a 363 cid 4 bolt main LT4 with a CC306 cam and an A4.

Are you sure you wanna race him?? 350 LT1 < 363 LT4

Oh and if your only running 14.7 @ 97.80, you better be getting a 346 w/ a cam.

Is that full coverage??

See when I went from a 1991 hardtop V6 Camaro to my 2000 Z my insurance went way down. But hey, thats a little bigger difference in years -1991 to a 2000.

Yea, full coverage. You mean you went from a 91 V6 to a 00Z and your insurance dropped? That doesnt make since, but then again insurance companies never do.

LS1's perform better & are a LOT easier to work on... I have both a 95TA and a 99TA..end of story.

If I were Derek, I'd do the same thing to my Camaro. The LT1 front end looks a lot better than the "fish-eye" LS1 Camaro front.

See, Jason knows how it is.

Jason has even worked on this car. He put in the rear gears. If you need gears, you definatly need to go to him! He does it the right way, checking EVERYthing. Alot of shops skip some stuff and you get a rear that whines.

I bet your insurance rates changed because of discounts that your current policy did not have. Insurance companies dont like to inform you that your insurance can be cheaper, they just wait untill you ask. A friend of mine has been eligible for a good student discount of 500$ a year for the last 4 years and just found out about it this month. As for the better options, I would consider LT's for an LS1 much better than Lt's for an LT1 just simply becuase of the non simesed ports. But 93-97 front ends are awsome, but the new interiors are much nicer IMO. When exactly did they change thou, cuz I have a 97 w/ a new style interior, and my brothers friend has a 97 rs w/ the old style?

<---not afraid of a 363 or an all talk LS1 half/half Camaro

Derek - what the hell are you doing talking in 3rd person? I always stayed pretty much neutral with you but DAMN dude - WTF? Excuse me for thinking you are all talk but Ive heard so many stories from you in the past year or two its not even funny. "My g/f's parents are gonna make my car 600 HP", "Im gonna run 5's", "Cruise control made me lose control and slam into a car." Dude, I've riden in your car before, you drive like a bat outta hell. . .Then, comes your ****ty LT1 argument. LT1's have just as much potential as the LS1, even being "out of date." Also, if you are going to bitch and moan about having to set the valves, then you shouldnt be around a car in the first place. Its seems like the only person out of that group of people that actually did more than talk, was Stu.

I know Im coming across as a ****, but this post with 3rd person, LT1 bashing etc was just the end of it.

<------The real Derek speaking:

Hey Brandon, **** you! If that was really ME talking I sure as hell wouldnt talk in 3rd person. I also do not know who was talking under my name.

You know nothing about me and never will because I have never really liked you to begin with. All I have ever seen you do is kiss Corys *** and be like a little puppy that follows him around everywhere. Get your OWN life and be your own person. My fiance and I broke it off 2 months ago and I returned everything her dad got me. So once again, go **** yourself!.

I have done EVERYTHING that I said I would. I had a huge cam in my car until I got ahold of my new engine, then I put the stock engine back to stock. I will slowly build up the new stuff and install it. I do not need little punk *** teenagers like you acting like a smartass toward **** that you have no business talking about.
