does Texas have the "Lemon Law" or something of that sort for a used car lot selling some one a car that was deemed a total loss and the person not knowing it an buying it?

The Lemon Law only applies to a new vehicle purchase...it is also called a Manufacturers Buy-Back. To qualify there needs to be a major defect, and there needs to be multiple attempts to remedy the situation with no change in performance.

This is a very general explanation, not legal advice.

If the used car lot sold the car "as is" your probably out of luck. However if they represented it as something it's not, that's fraud. File a complaint with your County District Attorney, or at least talk to them, they should be able to help.
