help car won't start
I took my PCM to get it reprogrammed sent it off to MMS and since a lot of things happened it took close to a month before I got it back, which was two days ago. Well I had disconnected the battery too. I changed the fuel filter, oil & filter, and put new gas in. I put the battery in and connected the battery and nothing. I took the battery(Optima Red top) to auto zone and got it recharged, and I came back and still nothing, no lights turn on, no alarm, nothing. I checked the fuses and they are all good. I looked at the wires and all looks good. I don't know what else to look at. Any ideas? Please I need answers ASAP. I also tried two other batteries, my old AC delco and my honda's battery.
My car had been broken into while it was without battery and computer but nothing wa damaged except the window. Which is why I am in a hurry.
I know a friend of mine in a 99 TA, his car wouldn't crank due to faulty chip in key but mine won't turn on lights or alarm or anything completely dead.

I can't do much with this damn rain, gonna wait till it stops. I did manage to check the wires from the battery terminals, the grounds, and the starter, nothing seems wrong there. Guess when the rain stops I'll check the alternator and also the dash. If that don't work I guess a visit the dealership will be in the future.
Thing is even without the PCM the lights should still work.

Doesn't sound like alternator. If it was the alternator then you could still have some power to certain things. Sounds to me like a fuse link somewhere. Maybe around the junction box under the hood?? That could cause total power loss. Hope this helps.
Good luck,
Kyle

I would agree on one of your wires being damaged...I'll share an experience I had just a few weeks ago. The power wire leading to my starter solenoid found a resting place against my header. It finally melted through the coating and contacted the header, blowing a 50 amp fuse for my ignition. So if you've done some aftermarket stuff, might want to check around there as well. Good luck!!

double-double check the plugs that go into the PCM. If one of the 4 connectors is not seated properly, it might cause the problem you've described.
Was it JUST the battery terminals and PCM that got disconnected?
