Question getting heads flowed

i live on MATLOCK (arlington)...i bought ported/polished heads, but the guy didnt have flow numbers for it...
i'm trying buy a cam for my 355, so i figured i should have flow numbers so that i have more info when choosing a cam.
anyone know of a place where they flow heads IN or AROUND arlington?...also...any idea on how much it costs??

thanks in advance.

I've read that it runs $60-100 per cylinder, so many do-it-themselves guys won't opt for flowsheets on their heads.

If no one replies, I'd try calling some of the local speed shops (ie..Arlington Motor Sports...or The Horsepower Store in Plano) and seeing who they recommend for headwork, etc....

Hope that helps..

Nah, it's not that expensive. I think it's more like 25 bucks to flow a set of heads.
You need to call some machine shops. Try Rehr Morrison, it's in Arlington. 817-467-7171

Lloyd has a spotless reputation on this board - I've heard 'The Horsepower Store' uses him for some of their work.

I was over at his place last night,he has a few sets of there heads right now...

He said he will charge 20$ and that would get 1 intake and 1 exhaust port flowed from .100-.600 lift.

Question

How long does it take? If you set something up, could he do it on the spot?

Yes I can. Just give me a call and I am sure I can find time to flow a cylinder for ya. If your head is relatively clean It will take about 20 mins to flow the head. I will give you flow #s from .100-.600 lift on the intake and exhaust.
