I am jumping ship. I have had horrible luck with my camaro since 2003 and I have only been able to drive it 2 years tops since then due to deployments and breakdowns. I plan to unload my camaro when I get back from deployment and buy a 03/04 cobra. I have had the car since 1998 when it had 42K on it.

I dont know wether to part it out or try and sell it whole. Car has a bolt broke off in the crank snout and will need a new crank. It was in the process of in a LE heads and cam kit install shooting for 400+ RWHP. This happened about a week before I deployed in Dec. I am sure I can get more cash for it parted out. But it would pain me to do so, I would rather see it go whole. Car has alot of sentemental value but I feel I need to move on.

I am sure there is more that I am forgetting...

The car has sat in the Texas sun and has not been kind to it, would need a repaint. Also have a hole in the rear driveshaft tunnel where the driveshaft tried to come through even though I had a Spohn tq arm at the time, hence the new tranny, DS and tq arm. If you were to throw a stock shortblock in it and the correct pushrods it would run again.

I cant decide wether to part it or sell it whole. I dont know how much more I could make by parting it, but maybe some of you guys who have parted cars could give me some insight on your experiences. I know I will lose alot of money on it. I know that I would hate to part it out and send it to the crusher, so I would rather sell it to somone who would fix it.

I will be home on leave around the 23rd for 2 weeks, then I come back to Iraq. If anyone wants to PM me an offer for it whole and wants to pick it up in that timeframe, feel free to do so and I will consider it. Car is located just outside of Lampasas (near Killeen).

Being deployed and trying to part out a car will be tough, unless you have a good friend back in the states to help out. Good luck with the sale, if you part it out I might be able to get my heads back
