Yeah, they'll fit--according to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html the stock 245/50-16 tire diameter is 25.6 inches. These ET Fronts are 24. Plus, they fit fine inside the front wheel wells of my 88 coupe so they'll fit a fourth gen.
