Family circumstances forces sale of one great truck.
I must sell my 2001 GMC 2500HD SLE, equipped with the 8.1 mated to a 5 speed Allison trans. Only 77,000 miles on the clock. It is red with grey cloth interior. Everything is absolutely bone stock.
It is well optioned with PW, PL, PS, cruise, tilt, CD, bucket seat with console, heavy tinted windows, Prodigy brake controller, black tool box, chromed nerf bars, nearly new tires and nearly new Bilstein shocks. Has a bed mat, rail caps and bug deflector.
It uses about 1/2 qt of oil between changes at 3000 miles and the most recent trans service and coolant flush was at ~70,000. The ole mule will get 13mpg empty if driven reasonable.
Only issue I've had was a crank position sensor replaced at ~50,000 miles.
No scratches or dents, interior is about as perfect as you could ask for. The only known flaw is a rock chip in the windshield.
I pull a 10,000 lb enclosed race car trailer 4 or 5 times a year ~300 miles one way. I drive it to work (30 mile round trip) when it was too cold or too wet to ride my motorcycle.
I'm the 2nd owner. 1st owner was an elderly farmer who had difficulty getting in the truck. So he traded it for a 1500. A friend in sales knew I was looking and turned me onto it.
It's in fantastic shape and would continue to drive it if circumstances were different.
It is financed, so my credit union has the title. But it shouldn't be a problem. Just some time with the post office.
I'm asking $17,000 for this beauty in order to move it quick. I'm located SW of Ft. Worth, Texas. e-mail me if interested.
