Finding a shop
Finding a shop
Can anyone tell me a good shop around the arlington area? My car is leaking coolant and oil big time and I have no clue what is wrong with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
Re: Finding a shop
Can't help you out. But if you cant find someone to recommend a shop to you i suggest just finding one as soon as possible, because oil/coolant leak probably isnt the greatest thing to be driving around on
i know someone that may be able to look at it and atleast tell you what is wrong and even maybe fix it. his name is jason and he has a place near alliance airport... if you can call him and tell him chris sent you his way.
his number is 817-300-6840. if no one else can help you i may be able to take a look at it... my number is 469-446-4639.
good luck and let me know if you need more help chris

Well, I replaced the thermostat and then took it out. At least the coolant light isn't on all the time now BUT it is still getting really hot and when I turned the engine off the half of the antifreeze came right out (It looks like near the knocksensor and at the very front of the driverside of the car). The funny thing is that it only gets that hot when I have the AC on.

Re: Finding a shop
First, cars don't cool well without a thermostat either, the coolant flows through the radiator too fast to get cooled, secondly if you have air in the
system it needs purged. If you are getting coolant out of the head bypass lines you are getting too hot and the steam is probably cleaning off the
infamous intake oil leak off the back of the engine and hence your oil seen.
