Micheal miller was selling a 409 LT1 with some AFR heads on the board a few weeks ago.

I agreed to purchase the heads and intake for 2,800, and he would send them to me COD after
I sent him a $500 deposit.

This agreement was made on friday 7-12-02. I next day aired him a money order for $500,
which he recieved on 7-13-02. He was then supposed to remove the cylinder heads/intake
from his engine and have them to me by monday or tuesday the following week.

He then tells me on sunday 7-14-02 that his friend and him couldn't finish getting the heads
off, but he was going to have them off by monday or tuesday and I would have them by
thursday or friday.

I said "Ok, no big deal"

He then tells me on friday 7-19-02 that "When we took the heads off it looks like one of them
is damaged"

I said "What do you mean damaged?"

He said "I don't know, I'm not a machinist, one of them is damaged though, so I have to bring
them to the machine shop to have it checked out"

I said "Ok, let me know what you find out asap"

He never called me back, so finally I get through to him on sunday 7-21-02 and he said "one of
the heads is damaged, I'm just going to send your money back"

I said "Ok, since I sent you the deposit next day air, I should have it back from you by monday
or tuesday"

This whole last week goes by, and I recieve nothing from him. I sent him an e-mail on thursday
asking where my money is, and I left him a message (he wouldn't answer his phone) saying I
better get my money by friday.

He called me right after I left the message (but he couldn't answer his phone) Saying "Why are
you turning this into a big deal, wny would you leave me a message like that"

I said "Because I sent you $500 and I have nothing to show for it, I should have it back by
now"

He said "Do you think leaving a message like that is very smart and going to make me want to
send you your money back?"

I said "You don't have to want to send me my money back, you HAVE to send me MY money
back"

He said "Well, nevermind then, I'm in absolutely no hurry to send your money back to you" and
then he hung up.

I did some checking around on the boards, and found out he sold the entire engine out of his
car on 7-15-02, to someone on Corvetteforums, and he was just lying to me about the
damaged cylinder heads, etc, and now he is acting like he would be doing me a favor by
sending me my money back.

DO NOT DEAL WITH MIKE MILLER! HE IS A LIAR AND A THIEF!

 

Sounds like a first class a$$hole to me. Definately will never be doing business with him! Thanks for the warning and good luck getting your money back.
