calling Cartman!!!

Josh, What did you say to do with a steel driveshaft to beef it up? Something about welding this or that??? I deleted the pm on accident.

I had the slip yolk welded because it was leaking tranny fluid out the center. It didnt make it any stronger or anything. I had it balanced, and straightened. It had .010" of runout I believe, which weakens it a bit. Also have the u joints replaced. The stockers are plastic injected to hold them, instead of having snap rings. The stockers can also be off in alignment.

They told me the stock shaft in good shape will hold 400-500 HP. So just have new u joints installed, check for runout, balance, and have the slip yolk welded if its leaking. Then you're good to go.
