I drove my 94 camaro to Dallas friday,to hang out with other f-body owners at the State Fair on Saturday. No problems going,but after departing Saturday evening and making it all the way back to Houston,It broke down within 4 miles of my home. The oil pressure needle started dropping andthe car began losing power. It limped off the freeway to the Walmart parking lot at I-45 and West Road.The temp needle was starting to go high. I turned it off, got out and saw coolant coming out of overflow tank. I checking the oil level and it was low so I added some. The car would still crank but the engine was sounding very lame. I thought it might make it home in limp mode,but I called triple AAA for a tow instead.

I am extremely happy that it did not break down somewhere prior to getting that far into Houston.I must admit I put the pedal to the metal during the trip.I departed Dallas at 6:35pm and at 9:30pm I was at the Woodlands area of Houston.

I'll get it towed to my Mechanic later in the week,and have to drive my maxima til the Z28 is back up and running.

 

oh wow!!!!!! I'm so sorry that happened, but I sure am glad you came to the State Fair!!!! Hope you will return for other events up here!!
