As everyone probably has found out the BP plant in Texas City exploded today. Waiting to see if any of the fatalities were people I know. The news is saying that 4 people are dead, but I work at lowes right there in town and a BP employee was in there shopping fully dressed in his nomex and he got the call over his radio.The guy on the other end was yelling about there being quite a few dead people. The guy in the store dropped everything an litterally ran out of the store on a dead sprint. when it exploded Lowes shook like you would not believe.Kinda wierd that living in a town like this you expect something like this to happen at least once a year. Its just sad when people die because it seems like 2/3 of the people you know work at the plants.

 

I heard from people on Bolivar Peninsula that heard the blast. It was really bad whatever set that off.
