This does not have anything to do with the stuff for sale, but dear god, more info on that motor please! Sounds like it should be very stout. And how in the hell did you get a 434? A 4.250" stroke?
434 Info
I will release these TOP SECRET info ONLY if you help me sell some of these motors I've got laying around !!! A 434 small block is pretty easy , ( But NOT inexpensive !!!) It's a 400 block , .030 over with a 4.00 crank. The pistons are custom jobs , the rods are everyday 4340 6.00 in. and the cam has to be a small base circle. Also ,there's "ALOT" of block grinding that has to be done !! The car wieght is 3700 , and with a small convertor and no trans brake , the car runs 12.30's on the motor , which means that I basically leave just above idle cuz the brakes won't hold the torque of the motor !! This motor in a light car with a standard would be a low eleven or a high ten with a slightly bigger cam !! Now have a yard sale for me , the wife and I are fixin to buy a house and I'm trying to round up the down payment !! Ed O'Neil
