I'm looking for an Lt1 crank for a 96-97 in the Houston area. If you have a timing cover for the cps and a crank hub that would be even better. Let me know.

I have got a timing cover that you can have for free. I can't recall if it is a 96-97 one - does it matter to you?

No, it doesn't matter. As long as it has a place for the cps on the bottom. PM me the details on how I can get it from you.

Only the 96-97 covers have the CPS provision . I'll look at it tonight when I get home and drop you a line.

Is a '95 crank different from a 96-97? I'm 75% sure I still have the crank from my '95 TA that I totalled a while back laying in my garage somewhere... I don't THINK i tossed it. I'm in college station over the weekend, but when I get back to h-town on Sunday I'll check to see if I still have it. If I do, and you can use a '95 crank, you can have it for free.

Kyle,

Cranks are the same AFAIK. The 96-97s (OBDII) used a reluctor wheel pressed on the crank in front of the timing gear. The timing cover just has a little provision where a sensor sits to read the reluctor wheel.

Hunt: My timing cover IS the 96-97 style. PM me for details on meeting up.

Hey Ryan, can I just buy another reluctor wheel and have it pressed on the 95' crank?

Kyle, let me know about the crank. Thanks

Sean

Sean,

You can just get a reluctor wheel. I'm sure someone has one laying around - its just a thin piece of metal. You don't need to "press" it on with a machine. Its slip fit and you could tap it on with a hammer/pipe over the crank snout.

Someone has got to have a crank laying around, or know someone that does. Let me know.
