You looking for an installer or just an engine builder? Most performance shops farm out the short block or long block and then R&R at there place. If you want to do the R&R yourself you can save a lot of money.

I'm looking for a builder, I will be putting the motor in myself just need someone to give advice on parts such as crank (stock or new), rods (h or i beam forged?), pistons cc, dished etc..assembling the motor and for dyno tuning as well. I have enitre separte motor sitting in the garage that I'm about to start tearing down and getting ready to go some where..

It says a lot about a performance engine builder to have been in the business for 40 years and in the same location.

3 seasons ago, I had my road race motor built there and 2 years ago had a customer's motor built there. Still going strong.

I've heard good things about Metroplex Automotive in Mesquite.

Can't go wrong with Calvert's, Engines Xtreme, Kim Barr and a few others. Just depends what you are looking for and how much you want to spend. I've used Wayne Calvert and Jim Anderson before with good results.
