I have a ’90 Camaro RS that I’ve owned since ’93 and I want to do a LS1 swap with the existing 5.7L TBI engine (I had this installed in the ‘90s). Before anyone asks, I am not interested in the rebuilding the existing engine, since it has a lot of miles on it, and it has been overheated several times. I think it is “tired”.

I'm primarily interested in the LS1 because of the obvious power and the fact that I can get an engine, tranny, computer, etc. in a package off a 4th Gen. I'm open to other ideas though...

Does anyone know of someone in the DFW area that has done this?
